The pareo

Pareo 02

It is a traditional Polynesian dress that is worn in loincloth by men and tied in different ways by vahines to cover the body. The Pareo was originally made of Tapa, a fiber made from the bark of the mulberry tree.
In 1891, Paul Gauguin will make famous these famous colored fabrics in his paintings.
